Description

Large central laboratory for the entire SADARA Facilities in Jubail including the following:

    • 110 Fume Hoods in four major laboratories.
    • Variable volume flow controls using Phoenix flow control valves, tracking controls, diversity alarms, room pressure monitoring and continuous maintenance of pressure relationship of laboratories with adjacent areas.
    • Centralized laboratory exhaust systems.
    • Chiller plant.
    • We performed the following roles:
    • Performed the role of contractor’s technical consultant to review the design drawings specification and contract documents and provided valuable input in the original design performed by Fluor–Houston.
    • Developed detailed shop drawings based on the selection of final equipment including the selection of 100% OA air handling units, Phoenix control valves, and Energy recovery systems.
    • Exhaust systems complete with high-plume dilution laboratory exhaust fans with capacities of 60,000 to 65,000 CFMs.
    • Performed construction/site supervision support.
    • Performed the role of commissioning consultant for the commissioning of the lab systems particularly balancing / commissioning of Phoenix flow control valves system, tracking controls, room pressure monitoring, temperature control and overall control systems.
